ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างฮีโมโกลบินฟีโนไทป์กับการให้ผลผลิตของกระบือปลักไทย

การศึกษาหาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างฮีโมโกลบินฟีโนไทป์กับการให้ผลผลิต ค่าสรีรวิทยาและค่าทางชีวเคมีของเลือดในกระบือปลักไทยที่เลี้ยงดูภายใต้สภาพแวดล้อมของสถานีวิจัยทดสอบพันธุ์สัตว์พะเยา อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดพะเยา ระหว่างเดือนตุลาคม 2551 – เมษายน 2552 ในกระบือปลักเพศเมีย จำนวน 80 ตัว อายุระหว่าง 5-9 ปี ตรวจหาฮีโมโกลบินฟีโนไทป์โดยวิธี cellulose acetate electrophoresis ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ในกระบือปลักทดลองดังกล่าว พบฮีโมโกลบิน 2 ฟีโนไทป์ คือ HbAB (68.75%) และ HbBB (31.25%) กระบือปลักที่มีฮีโมโกลบินฟีโนไทป์ HbAB มีน้ำหนักหย่านมที่อายุ 240 วัน และน้ำหนักอายุ 400 วัน สูงกว่า HbBB (P<0.01) ในขณะที่ HbBB มีอายุการให้ลูกตัวแรก และมีช่วงห่างการให้ลูกต่ำกว่า HbAB (P<0.01) ขณะเดียวกัน HbAB มีน้ำหนักตัวชั่งเมื่อทำการทดลองสูงกว่า (P<0.01) HbBB แต่ความสมบูรณ์ร่างกาย (Body Condition Score, BCS) ต่ำกว่า HbBB (P<0.01) ผลการศึกษาอุณหภูมิร่างกายในสภาพแวดล้อมเวลา 14.00 น. (02.00 PM.) พบว่า HbAB มีอุณหภูมิร่างกายสูงกว่า HbBB (P<0.01) นอกจากนี้กระบือที่มีฮีโมโกลบินฟีโนไทป์ HbBB มีระดับค่า serum protein และ total globulin สูงกว่า HbAB (P<0.01)

The relationships between the haemoglobin phenotypes and productivity, physiological and blood biochemical profiles were studied in 80 mature (5 to 9 year-old) healthy Thai swamp buffaloes kept under Phayao Livestock Research Testing Station, Muang district, Phayao province condition between October 2008 to April 2009. Haemoglobin phenotype was determined using cellulose acetate electrophoresis. Two haemoglobin phenotypes were found in Thai swamp buffaloes: HbAB (68.75%) and HbAB (31.25%). The results revealed that Thai swamp buffaloes with HbAB phenotypes were significantly (P<0.01) heavier than the animals with HbBB at 240 and on 400 days of age. The animals with HbBB showed significant lower age at first calving and calving interval (P<0.01) than those with HbAB phenotype. Whereas, actual weight of the animals with HbAB phenotype which were significantly (P<0.01) higher than the animals with HbBB. In contrast, body condition score of Thai swamp buffaloes with HbBB were significantly higher (P<0.01) than the animals with HbAB, and also had significantly lower (P<0.01) rectal temperature, measured at 02.00 PM. Moreover, Thai swamp buffaloes with HbBB had significantly (P<0.01) higher serum protein and total globulin than those with HbAB phenotype.
