2.1 To extract the structural parameters, dynamical properties and electronic band structure of Mg-IV-N2 and compare them with those of Zn-IV-N2 and III-N 2.2 To obtain the phonons at gamma point of Mg-IV-N2 and compared with those of Zn-IV-N2 and III-N in terms of Brillouin zone folding effects 2.3 To extract the optical properties such as the reflection coefficient, the index of reflection, real and imaginary part of dielectric constant of Zn-IV-N2 and Mg-IV-N2 2.4 To facilitate identifying the materials once they are first synthesized and to help understand which one may be appropriately used for specific technical purposes.
